Mid-Point Assessment

This is your starting picture: how your brain works when you are calm, and how much of that you keep when the pressure is on. It comes in two parts and takes about twelve minutes. You get a full how-to screen before every single test, and nothing starts until you press Go.

Part 1 · Calm

Six quick tests, about a minute each, one for each thinking skill. Just do your natural best. This is your clear-headed level.

  • Go / No-Go

Tap fast when you see a B, and hold still when it is any other letter.

  • Odd One Out

Three numbers show up. Tap the one that is different from the other two.

  • Memory Check

Watch a short list of numbers go by, then say whether one number was in it.

  • Symbol Match

Two symbols appear. Say if they are the same or different, as fast as you can.

  • Visual Search

Shapes drift around the box. Spot whether the orange diamond is among them.

  • Rule Switch

Sort each card by the rule, and keep up when the rule suddenly changes.

Part 2 · Activated

Then 30 seconds of star jumps to get your heart rate up, and we run two of the tests again. The clock gives you a touch more time than your calm pace (110% of it), so nobody is racing. Being fast earns nothing here: only wrong answers, missed answers and answers over the clock count against you:

  • Go / No-Go

Tap fast when you see a B, and hold still when it is any other letter.

  • Memory Check

Watch a short list of numbers go by, then say whether one number was in it.

Why: pressure changes people. Your Composure Score is how much of your calm performance you keep when you are revved up and rushed. That gap is the number this whole course is built to shrink.

Sit somewhere quiet, and use the same device every time so your scores compare like for like.
